Well, we've achieved another milestone in our journey to Black Forest Academy. Today Smitty stayed home, the first work day of his retirement. We have two Ministry Partner appointments (opportunities to share our vision and ask for prayer and financial support), but most of this dreary, rainy day has been spent taking a deep breath and assessing what it is that we are about. The weather has a certain affect on the mood of this milestone; we love the fall atmosphere and the newness of rain after months without. Very fitting.

Our next giant step? We leave for Kandern, Germany on October 31st. While there we hope to become more acquainted with staff, students, and routines at Black Forest Academy.
Every giant step brings us closer to the goal of working for and with missionary kids. Giant steps are good.
