The Journey Continues

This photo of our recent tree-trimming mirrors my life.  Notice the neat stacks of branches.   Just like the tree guys I am trimming, sorting, stacking, and living outside my comfort zone.  The guy in the tree seems precarious, yet he is securely strapped and balanced.  Wow, that's me.  I have such a sense of being out there somewhere, yet I'm convinced that my life is tied securely to and balanced by the hands of God.  Looking at the stacks of wood, I can see order and planning in the project.  Even though I can't see my own life that clearly, I have confidence that my Heavenly Father gives order and has planned the all the days of my life, even these days of preparing for a new phase of our journey.

Change always involves feeling unsettled, yet the confidence that God knows the number of hairs on my head keeps me returning to Him when this change in my life gets to be too much for me to handle on my own.  And isn't that just the way my Father wants it?

Allow me to update the journey of moving to Kandern.

Boxes containing our treasures pop up all over our house.  We have signed rental agreement papers with the property manager, and he will start looking for renters in February.  A missionary couple are working with us to take over their apartment in Kandern with furniture, kitchen, and car included.  We enrolled in PreField Orientation occurring June 25-July 8, 2011 in Houghton, New York.  Where to store our belongings has been determined, including friends taking some of our furniture.    We have about 50% of our "Go Fund" raised, and about 35% of our monthly need raised.

We are thankful that God has planned this journey and has prepared our hearts to trust Him in the issues which seem impossible from the human perspective.  "For nothing will be impossible with God."  Luke 1:31

  1. We could use dining room chairs if you have some to store! We have 4 chairs, but 5 family members. :)

I can't believe in less than 3 months you'll be gone. Will we have time for one more dinner with you? Maybe at a restaurant? You have to eat! Why not with friends? Praying for your support to come in soon. Blessings, Amie
