Something has changed in Kandern. Spring seems to be fighting her way back to this region of the Schwartzwald. Evidence?
The fog no longer hides the mountains around us-and the mountains are no longer white.
Snowdrops and crocus pop up everywhere.
Students wear spring clothing and no jackets, in spite of low 40's in the mornings.
Buds continue to swell on trees.
Birds sing lovely choruses.
The air smells different.
Sun shines for a bit almost every day.
Morning comes earlier as the sky brightens at 6AM.
Frog fences along to road between Wittlingen and Rummingen are being erected.
Gentle spring rains replace snow storms.
The train is out for a special run.
Ooops, it is snowing again. Never mind!
